The Walt Disney Company has announced Thomas Mazloum as the new chairman of Disney Experience, succeeding Josh D’Amaro, who will become CEO next week. D’Amaro praised Mazloum for his leadership and focus on service, creativity, and growth. Mazloum, currently president of Disneyland Resort, previously led Disney Signature Experiences, which includes Disney Cruise Line and Vacation Club.
Alongside Mazloum’s promotion, Disney Experience has made several senior leadership changes: Jill Estrino will replace him at Disneyland Resort, Tasia Philippatos will become president of Disney Parks International, and Lisa Barzicki will head Disney Consumer Products.
Disney’s experiences division, which generates significant profits—$36.2 billion in sales and $10 billion in operating income for fiscal year 2025—distinguishes the company in the competitive media landscape. The division includes theme parks worldwide, a growing cruise line, vacation clubs, and luxurious travel experiences, supported by Disney’s extensive intellectual property.
D’Amaro emphasized the ongoing expansion efforts, with a commitment to invest $60 billion by 2033, aimed at enhancing attractions, hotels, and cruise offerings. Mazloum will oversee this crucial growth phase as Disney aims to deliver world-class experiences to an increasing global audience.
