Kabul police reported that the strikes targeted civilian homes and markets, causing at least five deaths and numerous injuries. The United Nations welcomed the ceasefire and highlighted significant casualties in Afghanistan, urging both countries to end hostilities permanently.
Despite the ceasefire, tensions remain high, with reports of Pakistani military actions against militants allegedly crossing from Afghanistan.
