Walt Disney World is enhancing its Independence Day celebrations this year to mark America’s 250th anniversary, featuring various traditions, patriotic entertainment, special meals, and limited-time merchandise.
Magic Kingdom highlights include the return of the "Celebrate America – Independence Day Concert in the Sky" fireworks on July 3-5 at 9 p.m. Main Street USA will be adorned with patriotic decorations, offering live entertainment like the Flag Retreat ceremony and Dapper Dan performances. Guests can also enjoy the nightly Electric Water Pageant.
EPCOT will celebrate with a full day of entertainment, including the "Heartbeat of Freedom" fireworks on the same dates at 9 p.m. Spectacular displays will feature on Spaceship Earth, and Voices of Liberty will present special shows. The "Portraits of Courage" exhibit honoring veterans will be available through the holiday weekend.
Disney Springs will have patriotic decorations and U.S. Air Force Band performances on July 3-4, providing an alternative celebration for those not entering the parks.
Food-wise, a variety of festive treats will be available across Walt Disney World, along with limited-edition merchandise like Sam Eagle-inspired items. A ceremonial U.S. Air Force flyover is also planned for July 4 at 10:30 a.m.
Celebrations extend to Disney resort hotels, which will host their own special activities. With fireworks, concerts, exclusive foods, and an Air Force flyover, Independence Day at Disney World is set to be a vibrant experience, particularly busy over the July 3-5 weekend.
