Allegiant Air is set to introduce a first class cabin in 2027, marking a significant shift from its traditional low-cost model. The new “Allegiant First” will feature spacious recliners and modern amenities, with tickets going on sale soon. This move comes as the airline industry, including low-cost carriers, competes to enhance premium offerings.
Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer, stated that this initiative aims to meet growing customer demands for comfort and personalization. First class seating will be available on select aircraft, featuring an 8-seat configuration in a 2×2 layout.
In addition to the new seating, Allegiant will also resume offering free soft drinks on flights starting August 1st and provide enhanced beverage options for credit card holders. This change follows CEO Greg Anderson’s earlier hints about exploring premium seating, indicating Allegiant’s commitment to adapting to market trends.
