The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police arrested a 17-year-old girl, believed to have inflicted the injuries, after receiving a call about three injured horses at a local event. The girl has been charged with 12 counts of injuring a horse and three counts of malicious destruction of property. Police described the acts as extreme cruelty, emphasizing the seriousness of animal abuse. Phillips expressed her anguish over Detail’s trauma and fear following the incident, suspecting the girl as the perpetrator but no motive has been released. The horse is expected to recover, although it won’t be able to compete in upcoming events.
