The incident, happening around 11:19 p.m. local time, led to an engine fire and the evacuation of 231 passengers and crew members from Flight 4345, which was heading to Los Angeles. The pilot reported to air traffic control that the plane had struck a pedestrian and experienced smoke inside the aircraft.
