Lufthansa is enhancing its passenger experience on long-haul flights through a significant initiative called FOX (Future Onboard Experience). This transformation kicks off as the airline celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026, aiming to redefine its in-flight service across all classes.
Starting March 29, 2026, First Class will see a new soft product rollout, followed by Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy on May 6, 2026. The FOX initiative includes a comprehensive upgrade involving personalized service, premium comfort, and unique signature moments.
Key Features of FOX:
-
Personalization: Business Class will allow passengers greater flexibility in meal choices and timing, while Economy and Premium Economy will feature three dining options instead of two.
-
Comfort: Premium amenities and upgraded textiles will be introduced across all classes, enhancing the overall in-flight experience.
- Signature Moments: Special services, like a unique caviar offering in First Class and carefully curated gourmet meals by Michelin-star chef Christoph Kunz, aim to create unforgettable travel experiences.
Lufthansa is investing over 70 million euros in this project, emphasizing its commitment to becoming Europe’s leading premium airline. Feedback from 180 employees and 2,000 customers has shaped the new service offerings.
In summary, the FOX initiative represents Lufthansa’s ambitious plans to upgrade its passenger service, focusing on personalization, comfort, and distinct experiences, positioning itself as a premium player in the aviation market.
