A tragic mass murder occurred in Shreveport, Louisiana, where at least eight children, aged between 18 months and 14 years, were killed. Police reported that two women were shot but survived, and another boy was injured after jumping from a roof. The suspect, who was connected to some of the victims, was killed by police following a carjacking incident. Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith described the event as a “tragic domestic violence incident,” with investigations ongoing across four crime scenes.
Local officials, including Mayor Tom Arsenault, expressed deep sorrow over the event, while community members also shared their shock.
