A man died by suicide following a reported shooting in Hampton, New Hampshire, early Sunday morning, per the Attorney General’s Office. Authorities responded to calls of gunfire around 1:20 a.m. at 29 Ocean Blvd., finding a 23-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman with gunshot wounds. Both were hospitalized. Police later encountered the suspect, Tyshawn Cooper, 21, who pulled out a handgun and shot himself while an officer fired at the same moment; he was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy confirmed the cause of death as suicide. No officers were injured, and the investigation is ongoing.
