Harry, along with other celebrities like Elton John, accuses Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) of violating privacy. The duke stated that he felt unable to complain about past articles due to his royal duties. He described the ongoing press intrusion as a relentless campaign that led to significant personal struggles, affecting his mental health.
During cross-examination, Harry encountered tense moments with ANL’s lawyer, who argued that the information could have been obtained legitimately. The duke firmly denied any friendship with the journalists involved, citing a royal maxim that discouraged complaints.
He characterized the lawsuit process as traumatic and reiterated that all he seeks is accountability.
