Geothermal Agro LLC in Azerbaijan focuses on tomato cultivation using geothermal energy in 13 hectares of greenhouses. The heating system utilizes hot water and steam directly from the earth, maintaining a stable microclimate and reducing energy costs by up to 50%. This model promotes economic and ecological sustainability by decreasing reliance on imported energy sources.

The company employs innovative techniques such as the double-stem pinch method for grafted tomatoes to enhance yields and disease resistance. With the coco peat substrate and drip irrigation, they optimize water use and nutrient delivery while minimizing pesticide dependence.

Real-time climate sensors and automation ensure optimal conditions within the greenhouse, crucial for maintaining consistency in yield and quality. The team emphasizes strict hygiene protocols to manage viruses and stresses the importance of temperature regulation, as even minor variations can affect production.

Geothermal Agro primarily targets the Russian market for its high-quality, pesticide-free tomatoes, while also catering to local demands. The company aims for a 10% increase in production this year. Under the leadership of its team, Geothermal Agro is dedicated to eco-efficient greenhouse agriculture, aligning its practices with sustainability goals and the vision for carbon neutrality by 2050.
