A large fire broke out at a Medline Industries distribution center in Tracy, California, on Thursday afternoon, generating significant black smoke. The incident occurred on Promontory Parkway, leading to the evacuation of the building and nearby warehouses. San Joaquin County Emergency Services confirmed the fire was contained to the Medline facility and reported no injuries.
Aerial footage showed substantial smoke and flames, damaging vehicles and containers on-site. The parkway was closed for firefighting activities, and police managed evacuations and traffic.
Medline, which recently celebrated its 60th anniversary, is the largest provider of medical and surgical supplies, distributing around 335,000 healthcare products globally.
