Peloton is launching its Commercial Series, a new line of bikes and treadmills designed for high-traffic gym environments. This marks a significant shift from its traditional home market into the multibillion-dollar commercial fitness sector, as CEO Peter Stern indicated gyms have been requesting Peloton equipment. The new products, part of Peloton’s commercial division launched in partnership with Precor, enhance the company’s ability to compete globally with a distribution network in over 60 countries.
While specific pricing details are yet to be announced, Stern noted the products would be “competitively priced.” Challenges may arise, as some fitness chains prefer in-house offerings, and Peloton has faced issues with product reliability in high-use settings. Although Peloton’s overall sales fell recently, its commercial division saw a 10% revenue increase, suggesting potential growth despite broader struggles. The company is also working to bolster interest in its new AI-powered product line, Peloton IQ.
