Israeli forces have sealed off the homes of two Palestinian terrorists responsible for a recent shooting attack in Jerusalem that killed six people. The attackers, Mohammad Taha and Mutanna Amuro, were killed during the incident. Israel’s policy typically involves demolishing the homes of those accused of serious attacks; however, the process can be lengthy due to legal appeals.
In response to the attack, Defense Minister Israel Katz has ordered collective sanctions against the families and community of the attackers, including the revocation of work permits for 750 relatives. Critics, including the Israeli Civil Rights Association, argue that such collective punishments are considered war crimes under international law.
Additionally, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) detained over 20 suspects and searched hundreds of sites in connection with the attack. The situation remains tense as Israel aims to deter future attacks.
