Paul Doyle, a 53-year-old former Royal Marine, has been charged by Merseyside police in relation to a car crash at a Liverpool celebration that left 79 people injured. He faces multiple charges, including two counts of attempting to cause serious physical harm, dangerous driving, and other malicious injuries.
Seven individuals were hospitalized, with ages ranging from 9 to 78. Police are currently reviewing extensive CCTV and mobile phone footage to aid the investigation. The case is ongoing, with the Chief Crown Prosecutor emphasizing the commitment to ensuring justice for all victims. Doyle is scheduled to appear in Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
