Eurowings, the low-cost carrier of the Lufthansa Group, is set to enhance its business class offering on narrow-body Airbus A320neo aircraft, starting in the second half of 2025. This initiative will introduce “real” business class seats from Italian manufacturer Geven, providing improved comfort, particularly on medium-haul flights.
Currently, Eurowings utilizes a two-tier business class system: the existing BizClass, featuring blocked middle economy seats, and the upcoming Premium Biz offering, which includes eight reclining seats in the front cabin. The first routes to feature these new seats will be from Berlin to Dubai, with ticket sales beginning in August 2025.
This move is part of a broader strategy as Eurowings prepares to modernize its fleet with new Boeing 737 Max aircraft starting in 2027. The airline aims to gather insights from this trial to potentially influence future cabin designs across the Lufthansa Group, especially in markets where wide-body aircraft demand is inconsistent.
