Four teenagers were arrested following a shooting in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, on Tuesday evening. The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of multiple individuals shot at a townhouse complex after what was believed to be related to illegal gun sales or robbery. Three young men were killed, including 18-year-olds Chase Feaster and Alonzo Goffny, while a third victim, aged 20, is awaiting identification from the medical examiner’s office. Among the suspects, one is a 16-year-old who is hospitalized with a gunshot wound. Sheriff Roger Harris confirmed all suspects are in custody and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
Witnesses reported hearing gunfire similar to that of a machine gun and seeing a young man brandishing a weapon. Following the incident, Fredericksburg City Public Schools and Spotsylvania County schools implemented a two-hour delay for classes to provide support for students and staff affected by the event. The suspects face charges related to malicious injuries and use of firearms in a felony, with three held without bond, while the fourth is in custody after being discharged from the hospital.
