A woman suspected of a bombing in Monaco, which seriously injured Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolayev and his family, has been found shot dead near Kiev. The woman, 39-year-old Anastasia Berezovska, was accused of attempted murder and using explosives. Ukrainian prosecutors say she received cryptocurrency from two arrested men, including an employee of Ukraine’s Military Intelligence, who did not inform their superiors about their dealings with her.
As the investigation continues, footage revealed gruesome torture equipment found at the men’s properties. This incident poses potential political ramifications for Ukraine, especially with President Zelenskiy seeking Western support amid ongoing conflicts with Russia. Previously, Berezovska, believed to have disguised herself to carry out the attack, fled Monaco and traveled through several countries before her death.
The Monaco principality condemned the bombing, and it has been reported that Ermolayev, a former Ukrainian citizen now residing in Cyprus, was previously sanctioned by Ukraine for business ties with Russian entities.
