A major expansion is underway for Shark Heads, a well-known souvenir shop in Biloxi, as owner JJ Pierotich plans to open a second location across from the Hard Rock Casino. This new site will showcase distinctive architecture, including parking on stilts and a striking great white shark façade.
Shark Heads, part of the Pierozzi family’s souvenir enterprise that began in 1973, has been impacted by COVID-19 and the rise of digital shopping but aims to attract tourists with innovative products and an engaging in-store experience. Pierotich expresses confidence that the downtown location, amidst casinos and restaurants, will draw in visitors.
Construction could start as early as July, with plans for the new shop to open by late 2027 or early 2028, pending approval from the city’s Historical Review Commission.
