A dangerous northeast storm is moving toward New Jersey, expected to bring wind gusts of up to 90 mph, heavy rain, and significant coastal flooding from Sunday into Monday. As of Saturday evening, a state of emergency was declared across all 21 counties. Rainfall will range from 0.75 to 3 inches, with the worst conditions anticipated Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. Residents should prepare for potential property damage, power outages, and travel disruptions, particularly in coastal areas, which are at the highest risk for storm surge and flooding.
Conditions are expected to improve by Tuesday as the storm weakens and moves offshore, with calmer weather anticipated later in the week.
