Kimi Antonelli secured pole position for the Belgian Grand Prix, outperforming Max Verstappen by 0.317 seconds with a time of 1:44.361. This marks Antonelli’s sixth pole of the season, aided by a “tow and a half” from Isak Hajar, despite the latter’s grid penalties due to a power unit change. Lando Norris initially pushed for a fast lap but ultimately qualified third after receiving a 10-place grid penalty, starting 13th.
George Russell finished fourth and will start third alongside Charles Leclerc on the second row. Lewis Hamilton qualified sixth but will move to fifth alongside Oscar Piastri. Arvid Lindblad qualified seventh. Both Alpines of Pierre Gasly and Nico Hulkenberg placed 12th and 13th, while Valtteri Bottas led Cadillac, just ahead of Sergio Perez. Fernando Alonso will start from the back due to power unit changes.
Overall, the qualifying session was marked by tight competition and strategic use of slipstreaming among drivers.
