The City of Albuquerque has declared the Extend A Suites & RV Park at 12999 Central unsafe after a scheduled inspection revealed numerous violations. The property owners received an Administrative Civil Enforcement Notice and face a proposed fine of $14,100. The inspection, conducted by the City Code Enforcement, Fire, and Environmental Health Departments, documented serious safety violations that jeopardized tenant safety. Key issues included operating without a license or certificate of occupancy, illegal RV park operations, inadequate septic and bathroom facilities, plumbing problems, electrical hazards, and fire code violations. Additionally, the conditions showed signs of unsanitary living conditions, such as mold and pest infestations. The city had previously flagged these zoning violations in early 2020.
