CD Projekt is developing several projects in The Witcher series, including a DLC for The Witcher 3 and a remake of The Witcher 1, which leads into the anticipated Witcher 4. Additionally, a spin-off known as Project Sirius will combine multiplayer with single-player gameplay.
A newly revealed co-op title, currently under wraps, is a free-to-play action RPG aimed at PC and mobile users. Set in 1230 with a young Geralt, players will customize their Witchers and engage in familiar environments like dark forests and haunted ruins. Combat will involve a skill-based system focusing on well-timed moves and the use of abilities.
CD Projekt has partnered with Scopely, a mobile game studio, to develop this project, although no specific details, including the development studio or release date, have been confirmed. There’s a chance this multiplayer title might mark a significant shift for The Witcher franchise on mobile platforms.
Previous mobile titles have received mixed reviews, but there is a longstanding interest in incorporating multiplayer elements into The Witcher series. Official details about the new co-op title are still pending.
