SpaceX has secured a significant computing agreement with Google, revealed in a regulatory filing. The contract entails Google paying $920 million per month from October 2026 to June 2029 for access to around 110,000 NVIDIA GPUs and related components. This deal is akin to a previous arrangement SpaceX made with Anthropic for $1.25 billion monthly until 2029, but Google’s contract covers roughly half the computing power.
Google’s partnership comes amid rising demand for its AI products, particularly for its Gemini Enterprise platform. Although the two companies have a longstanding partnership, Alphabet has recently increased capital spending significantly, with plans for an $80 billion stock sale to support these investments.
The agreement includes a cancellation clause allowing either party to terminate the deal with 90 days’ notice after December 31, 2026, should Google fail to meet GPU access commitments. This contract was announced just ahead of SpaceX’s upcoming IPO, where it aims to raise about $75 billion at a $1.75 trillion valuation. Additionally, both companies are reportedly in talks to develop an orbital data center, aligning with SpaceX’s future goals post-IPO.
