Marriott Bonvoy has opened the W Sardinia – Portu Quatu, a new luxury hotel on the northeastern coast of Sardinia, featuring 157 rooms and suites. This property, set against stunning granite cliffs and a natural fjord, aims to immerse guests in the local culture, with a design inspired by mythical guardians from the area. Highlights include rooms adorned with local artwork, private plunge pools in select suites, and a vibrant pool terrace for live music. Dining options include the flagship restaurant, Tanit, which offers seafood with marina views. The hotel is located about a 40-minute drive from Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport, which will soon host Delta Air Lines’ non-stop service from New York. Room rates start at approximately €356 ($414), with rewards beginning at 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night. W Sardinia is Marriott’s third W property in Italy, joining W Florence and W Rome.
