In March, Ukraine achieved a record by shooting down over 33,000 Russian drones, marking a significant milestone since the invasion began four years ago. The country’s Defense Minister highlighted advancements in long-range drone technology, enabling attacks far behind enemy lines—up to 1,750 kilometers. Ukraine executed its third assault this month on a Russian oil refinery in Tuapse, damaging infrastructure critical to Moscow’s war efforts and leading to local evacuations due to environmental concerns.
Additionally, Ukraine is ramping up its interceptor drone supply and has created a new air force command to bolster defenses amid ongoing conflict with Russia. Both nations continue to launch drone attacks: Russia reported intercepting Ukrainian drones while also suffering civilian casualties from attacks in Belgorod and Kharkiv regions. The situation remains tense, with both sides engaged in tactical strikes affecting civilians and infrastructure.
