Air India is revamping its service by introducing a new first class on its Airbus A350-1000 and refurbished Boeing 777-300ERs. Initially, the airline planned to use the Safran Unity platform, which would have created a “Business Class Plus” experience. However, due to supply chain issues, they shifted to a customized first class suite designed by Airbus.
This new configuration is expected to offer a 1-1-1 layout, similar to what Japan Airlines and Lufthansa provide in their first class. The design allows for high customization and promises to surpass the previously expected product.
Overall, Air India’s new first class aims to elevate its competitiveness in the market and could become one of the top offerings in the industry. The full details and success of this endeavor remain to be seen.
