Devsisters has announced CookieRun: New World, an open-world adventure game set to launch in 2029, coinciding with the franchise’s 20th anniversary. This game aims to expand on the popular CookieRun series, which boasts over 300 million players and over $1 billion in revenue, and is being developed in Unreal Engine. The storyline takes place after the legendary Five Heroes era, as a new darkness emerges on the Cookie Continent.
The announcement was made during a Devsisters online showcase, which included several other updates:
-
CookieRun: Crumble: A casual title releasing in late 2026, inspired by idle RPGs and designed for a broad audience.
-
CookieRun: Kingdom Chapter 2: Continues the flagship RPG’s story, focusing on a timeline-splitting catastrophe, with new regions and biweekly updates. A collaboration with K-Pop Demon Hunters is also planned for April.
-
CookieRun: OvenSmash: A new real-time PvP game launching on March 26, where players can compete in short matches using teams of cookies.
- CookieRun: Braverse: An expansion for the tabletop trading card game, releasing on March 27, featuring new cards and mechanics.
