The incident sparked widespread outrage, leading to the firing of two waitresses who were involved. Temple University announced the suspension of one student, with ongoing investigations and potential disciplinary actions against others under its conduct code.
Portnoy urged his fans to refrain from further targeting the individuals involved, hoping the experience would serve as a meaningful lesson against hate.
