Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014, a renowned locomotive, is set to visit the Kansas City area on July 21 as part of a Midwest tour. It will stop at various locations in Missouri, including Jefferson City and Pleasant Hill, before reaching Union Station in Kansas City around 5:30 p.m.
The locomotive will be open for public viewing at Union Station on July 21 from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and again on July 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A private event will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on July 22, during which it will not be accessible to the public.
Following its Kansas City visit, Big Boy will continue its tour, departing on July 23 for stops in Salina after a brief stop at Great Overland Station.
