Two teenagers, Allen Laland Fisher, 13, and Rachel Leray Fisher, 15, have gone missing from Monteview, Idaho. They are suspected to be returning to Trenton, Utah, linked to their previous residence and connections to the fundamentalist church of Jesus Christ, Latter-day Saints (FLDS). An Amber Alert has been issued, indicating that the teens likely disappeared between 6 PM and 8 PM on Sunday.
Allen is described as 5’9″, 135 pounds, with sandy blonde hair, last seen in a blue shirt and jeans. Rachel, 5’5″, 135 pounds, has brown hair and was last seen in a green dress. Their mother, Elizabeth Round, who was previously part of the FLDS and moved to Idaho after being exiled in 2020, reported them missing after allowing them to go to a store for internet access. She fears they may have been picked up by someone related to their former community.
Roundy is concerned for her children’s safety, suspecting that former FLDS members may have facilitated their disappearance. The Uvalde Foundation, an advocacy group formed after the Uvalde school shooting, is assisting in the search and has offered a $5,000 reward for their safe return. Authorities are seeking information and have expressed uncertainty about whether the teens remain in the area or have left the state.
