In Washington, Tyler Robinson, a suspected assassin of political activist Charlie Kirk, reportedly lived with 22-year-old Lance Twiggs, who is transgender. Both are under investigation by the FBI in connection with Kirk’s shooting at an event in Utah, where he was shot in the neck. Twiggs, described as a “black sheep” from a conservative family in Utah, has been confirmed as Robinson’s roommate, although relatives are unaware of his political views or transition.
Kirk, known for his anti-LGBTQ stances and conservative views, was shot after discussing the issue of mass shootings involving transgender individuals. Text messages between Twiggs and Robinson led authorities to Robinson, who eventually turned himself in. Investigators found bullet casings at the shooting site and traced the firearm used back to the suspects.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox commented on Robinson’s apparent shift towards leftist beliefs, which were evident during a family dinner. Despite social network Discord stating there was no evidence of a premeditated plan for the attack, the FBI continues to investigate potential motives and connections related to the case. Charges, including aggravated murder, are anticipated against Robinson based on the evidence gathered.
