Mandarin Oriental has been named the world’s top luxury hotel brand for the third consecutive year, scoring 81.8% in LTI’s rigorous assessment. The evaluation considers 130 key touchpoints related to brand performance, rather than individual properties, with a maximum score of 4,663. Other top brands this year include Aman, Bvlgari, and the Oet Car Collection.
The report highlights a significant concern regarding the luxury sector’s management and staffing issues, particularly in light of global shortages. Michael Crompton, LTI’s founder, emphasizes the need for brands to invest in staffing and management from the construction phase to maintain high service standards. LTI’s evaluations are conducted annually, ensuring that they reflect the current landscape of the luxury hotel industry without bias from previous years’ results.
LTI provides detailed, real-time reports to affluent travelers, focusing on luxury hotels, restaurants, and nightlife, with its sole income derived from membership fees.
