The Whaler’s Inn family has opened a new luxury hotel in downtown Mystic, called Stanton House, located in a renovated 100-year-old building. This hotel is the sixth addition to their accommodation collection and offers panoramic views of the Mystic River and Bassure Bridge.
Amanda Eiring, the hotel’s president, described the journey of rehabilitating the property and emphasized its maritime-themed interior design, honoring Mystic’s heritage. Stanton House features four stories, including event space for about 40 guests, luxury penthouse suites, and two-bedroom suites.
Named after Fannie Stanton, wife of 18th-century merchant Joseph Cottrell, the hotel is situated near notable attractions like Mystic Seaport and Mystic Aquarium. With a nautical theme, Stanton House aims to attract various guests, from bridal parties to romantic escapes, aligning with other new businesses in the area, including Delamar Mystic.
