This includes nurturing a strong spiritual life and maturity among seminarians.
Pope Leo stresses the relational nature of the priestly vocation, stating that “a pastor doesn’t exist alone” and advocating for fraternity among priests. He highlights the need for mutual care, especially for those feeling isolated, and calls for community life to combat loneliness that can dampen a priest’s apostolic zeal.
Furthermore, he emphasizes the significance of the diaconate and the laity, encouraging a collaborative approach to ministry rather than a centralized model. The Pope warns against the distractions of modernity, such as media exposure and hyper-connectivity, which can undermine effective ministry.
