Alaska Airlines will suspend three routes to Hawaii this fall: San Jose to Lihue and Kona, and Auckland to Lihue. Notably, Hawaiian Airlines is shifting its A321neo aircraft to these routes in June, but soon after, both will be suspended. This change affects Bay Area travelers, as the remaining nonstop option to Kauai will be from San Francisco, impacting travel times and costs.
