The 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise, the world’s largest heavy metal festival at sea, has announced a change in its 2026 destination from Labadie, Haiti, to Nassau, Bahamas. This decision prioritizes the safety and well-being of sailors, artists, and crew due to the evolving situation in Haiti. The festival will take place from January 29 to February 2, 2026, departing from Miami, Florida.
Nassau will provide a vibrant backdrop, featuring Bahamian culture and tropical beauty while maintaining the festival’s high standards. Attendees can expect performances from 60 bands across four stages, including the world’s largest open-air stage structure. The cruise promises a unique experience with unlimited access to live performances, meet-and-greets with musicians, and intimate masterclasses.
The first lineup of 27 bands has been announced, including well-known metal acts like Amorphis and Rhapsody of Fire. More information, including ticket sales, can be found on the official website and social media channels.
