Apple introduced an opt-in Adaptive Power mode in iOS 26, aimed at optimizing performance to extend battery life when usage is high. While iOS 26 is compatible with the iPhone 11 series and newer, Adaptive Power mode is exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro models due to its reliance on AI technologies. The feature is off by default and can be enabled in the Settings app under Battery.
Upcoming models such as the iPhone 17 Air may benefit from this mode, especially considering its anticipated thin design. The update is currently in beta and expected to be released in September.
Additional updates highlighted include new customizable features for the iPhone lock screen, rumors about new Apple Watch models, and the slow rollout of digital driver’s licenses in some U.S. states.
