On June 11, a South Florida judge issued an arrest warrant for former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown, accusing him of attempted murder with a firearm following a shooting incident at a celebrity boxing event on May 16 in Miami. Brown, 36, must post a $10,000 bond and was arrested at home.
The incident occurred outside a boxing event in Little Haiti, where Brown claimed he was attacked while trying to protect his jewelry. Surveillance footage reportedly shows him throwing a punch and retrieving a gun before gunshots were heard. Despite the police investigating the incident, no arrests were made at the time.
Brown has a tumultuous history in the NFL, having played for teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and faced various legal issues, including past charges for misdemeanors and civil lawsuits. He was released from the Buccaneers during a game in 2021.
