British prosecutors have approved 21 charges against influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate, including rape, human trafficking, and actual bodily harm. Andrew faces 10 charges linked to three victims, while Tristan faces 11 charges related to one victim. They are currently under investigation in Romania and maintain their innocence.
The Crown Prosecutor’s Service confirmed the charges after receiving evidence from Bedfordshire Police, leading to a European arrest warrant issued in 2024. However, their extradition to the UK will follow the resolution of their Romanian legal matters.
The brothers faced allegations dating back to 2012-2015 and are already charged in Romania with trafficking minors and other serious offenses. A lawsuit in the UK involving claims by four other women was previously declined for prosecution, but family lawyers are urging reconsideration of earlier cases.
Andrew Tate, a former professional kickboxer with a significant online following, is known for promoting a lavish lifestyle and running an online academy for young men seeking wealth and attraction. The legal proceedings against him remain active, with warnings against public commentary that could interfere with the case.
