Duffy, the lovable bear from Disney, has made a comeback at Disneyland for the theme park’s 70th anniversary. Originally introduced at Tokyo Disney, Duffy has expanded to various overseas parks, where collectors eagerly seek out his companions. Recent releases at Tokyo DisneySea include Lina Bell, which I asked a friend in Japan to get for my child.
Duffy, celebrating 20 years as a character, returns alongside his friend Sherie Mai but will only make appearances during the parade, with no Meet and Greet opportunities. Duffy’s backstory involves him being a stuffed bear who goes on adventures with Minnie and Mickey, alongside friends like Geratoni, Cookie, and Stella. These characters often serve as unique souvenirs in Disney parks, particularly in Tokyo and China.
Duffy merchandise will be available at the Storyland boutique in Disneyland, though the first drop sold out quickly. The 70th celebration kicks off soon, and I’m hopeful to find Lina Bell for my daughter at the Disneyland location.
