Construction of the Disney Lake Shore Lodge at Walt Disney World is progressing, with panels for the walls starting to arrive. Six cranes are actively working in the construction zone, focusing on building the lodge. The structure currently features basic metal framing for the exterior walls and windows, with the tallest sections reaching seven stories, and plans for a total of ten stories. Initial wall panels are visible on the second and third floors.
Nearby, a smaller building is also being constructed, which will link to the main structure. The lodge is expected to include a feature pool with a lazy river, reminiscent of Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort. Current work is underway on Fort Wilderness’s surrounding area, with visible framing developments and preparations for mechanical installations.
Disney Lake Shore Lodge is slated to open in 2027, though no specific date has been confirmed, and it replaces earlier plans for the Disney Lakeside Lodge. For the latest updates, WDW News has various social media platforms for followers.
