Six U.S. service members, including Technical Sergeant Ashley B. Pruitt from Bardstown, Ky., were killed in a recent military plane crash in Iraq. Pruitt, 34, a mother of two and a proud service member with nearly 900 hours of combat flight time, had served multiple overseas deployments. The crash occurred in “friendly” airspace and is under investigation. Other victims included Capt. Seth R. Koval, who trained pilots for aerial refueling; Captain Curtis J. Angst, known for his kindness; Major John A. “Alex” Klinner, a new father; Tyler Simmons, a boom operator; and Captain Arianna G. Savino, the operations director of her squadron. Families expressed their grief and highlighted the dedication and love each member had for their service and families.
