Fraport Greece reported a successful 2025, managing over 37 million passengers across its 14 regional airports, marking a 3% increase from 2024. This growth underscores the vital role these airports play in bolstering Greece’s tourism and economy, enhancing connectivity nationwide.
December 2025 saw significant traffic, with more than 881,000 passengers at these airports—up 9.4% compared to December 2024. The figures indicate strong winter momentum, emphasizing Greece’s appeal as a year-round travel destination.
Flight volumes also increased, with a total of 283,353 domestic and international flights, reflecting continued demand and network expansion. Notably, Thessaloniki Airport experienced a 10.7% rise in passenger traffic in December, achieving nearly 8 million passengers for the year. Similarly, Rhodes Airport welcomed over 7 million passengers in 2025, solidifying its status as a key international tourism gateway.
Overall, from 2017 to 2025, Fraport Greece’s airports have handled approximately 250 million passengers, reinforcing their importance in connecting Greece to global markets and supporting sustained tourism growth.
