Events like the USA Triathlon National Championship were also canceled due to the conditions. Despite rain, a baseball game between the Brewers and Mets continued, though parking access was compromised. Officials urged residents to avoid flooded areas, reaffirming the dangers of standing water. Additionally, storms caused fatalities and property damage in Nebraska, highlighting the widespread impact of the severe weather.
