The Metropolitan Police have decided to take “no further action” regarding allegations involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who reportedly asked a police officer for information about Virginia Giuffre shortly before a newspaper published photos of their meeting in 2011. The investigation found no evidence of criminal activity or wrongdoing.
Mountbatten-Windsor has denied all allegations against him, which include claims by Giuffre that she was sexually exploited by Jeffrey Epstein and had encounters with him when she was a minor. Giuffre, who died earlier this year, expressed her disappointment in the closure of the investigation without further explanation. Her family criticized the police for not awaiting additional evidence, especially with files related to Epstein set to be released by Congress.
In past statements, Mountbatten-Windsor has claimed he has “no recollection” of meeting Giuffre and maintained that there was no sexual contact. He reached a financial settlement with her in 2022, concluding the civil case against him.
Mountbatten-Windsor has faced significant scrutiny over his associations with Epstein and has lost his royal titles amid these controversies. He plans to move from his Royal Lodge home by October next year. Recent photos linked him with other high-profile figures, raising further questions about his connections to Epstein’s circle.
