The Park Hyatt Tokyo, an iconic hotel recognized for its role in the film “Lost in Translation,” will reopen on December 9, 2024, after a year-long renovation. The redesign reveres the original architectural vision by Jouin Manku while modernizing its offerings.
The hotel now features 171 reconfigured rooms and suites that enhance connections between spaces, showcasing views of notable Tokyo landmarks and Mount Fuji. New amenities include E-Sop skincare products and updated yukata pajamas.
Dining options include a new Alain Ducasse restaurant serving French brasserie fare, while the Peak Lounge remains a spot for refined afternoon tea and cocktails, boasting improved ambiance. The New York Bar and Japanese restaurant Kozue have been restored to their original designs, and the hotel includes updated fitness facilities and a well-stocked library.
Designers Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku emphasize a blend of new energy with the hotel’s spirit, likening the updates to a cinematic remake. Reservations will begin on September 23, 2024, with points-based stays available for World of Hyatt members.
