The Park Hyatt portfolio in Mexico is set to expand significantly, with plans for three hotels, including the anticipated Park Hyatt Mexico City, which is on track to open in 2026. Originally announced in 2017, the hotel will feature 155 rooms and 23 residences, situated on Campos Erisos Street near Chapultepec Park, adjacent to the existing Hyatt Regency Mexico City.
Despite previous delays, recent updates indicate progress, with the hotel now having its dedicated website. Planned amenities include two restaurants, an outdoor pool, and a full-service spa. The development is in collaboration with Soma Group, and while the 2026 opening seems realistic, updates will follow.
Currently, Mexico has no Park Hyatt properties, but by 2026, there will be three, including Park Hyatt Los Cabos, set to open soon, and Park Hyatt Cancun. The addition of Park Hyatt Mexico City will enhance the competitive luxury hotel market, which currently lacks major brands from Hyatt and Hilton. The hotel is expected to rival the Ritz-Carlton in Mexico City, aiming to become a key player in the luxury segment. Further updates on its opening and reservation availability will be provided as they become available.
