Scientists have announced the discovery of another potential underground city beneath Egypt’s Great Pyramids, doubling previous claims of such findings. Researchers from Italy and Scotland, using radar technology, argue there is a 90% chance that a complex connects the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaur. Filippo Biondi from Strathclyde University stated that these structures suggest a larger underground infrastructure.
In their initial study, which remains unpeer-reviewed, the team claimed to have identified a 2,000-foot vertical shaft under the Khafre pyramid. However, the research has faced criticism from experts who label it as lacking scientific rigor and “fake news.” They argue that the radar technology employed can only penetrate about 10 inches of soil, making it ineffective for such deep analysis.
Despite the backlash, this research has sparked renewed interest in ancient Egyptian mysteries, including speculation about hidden libraries and chambers connected to long-lost civilizations.
