The FIA and FOM have announced the 2026 F1 calendar, starting with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 8 and concluding in Abu Dhabi on December 6. Due to Ramadan, Australia remains the season opener instead of Bahrain. The calendar includes a double header in China but makes Japan a standalone event. The Canadian Grand Prix will clash with the Indianapolis 500 on May 24, as it has been moved forward for logistical reasons. Notably, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix has been removed from the calendar due to contract issues.
The Monaco Grand Prix will now take place the first weekend of June to accommodate the scheduling changes. The summer break remains unchanged, followed by races in the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain, with the latter moving to Madrid. The season will wrap up with six race weekends in seven weeks, including two triple headers. F1 plans to have six sprint events and three three-day tests planned for Barcelona and Bahrain to prepare for new cars and power units.
